French artist Hasna’s latest single, Soir d’hiver, strikes a delicate balance between melancholy and elegance. I wanted the typography to feel ornate and indulgent, reflecting the way Hasna lingers within the song’s softness.

Looking to create hybrid between serif and script, I used Orpheus Pro as a starting point and softened the terminals to form a smooth, velvety character.

I then introduced generous, luxurious swashes, drawing inspiration from Margot Leveque’s Romie flourishes, leaning fully into expansive, expressive curves that heighten the sense of intimacy and romance.
